Strategic Design 2 CA

For this assignment we were to create a brand system for the
fictitious bookstore Brodie’s Books, located in the heart of Edinburgh.

The Logo

The name Brodie’s Books was inspired by the famous Scottish novel The prime of miss jean Brodie by Muriel Spark, and in my design I choose to be inspired by the character of miss Brodie herself, and all hear incarnations in popular culture.

Coffee Packaging

Part of Brodie’s brand strategy is their in-store coffee brand; Brodie’s Brew, which I designed this cylinder based packaging fore.

Gift Packaging

The book is firstly wrapped in the custom Brodie’s Books gift paper. Then the strip of card whit the logo on it is wrapped around it and fastened whit the little sticker. Making it a packaging system that can easily be customized to many different size of books.

The Touch Points

As part of the assignment we had to design two brand touch points that the shop would utilize, a van and a bike.

The Pattern

The leaves of the pattern represents the coffee plant as one of the cornerstones of the business. The pattern celebrates it’s beauty and tradition.
